Community Projects
Mzansi School of Yogic Arts strives to be involved with and build our community along the West Coast and beyond!
When we’re not in classes, you’ll find us at many of our community gatherings, from our monthly full moon sessions and pet welfare flows to our involvement with various festivals.
These events are organised and facilitated by the Flowing Nomads branch of Mzansi Yoga. To find our more about Flowing Nomads, click here.
Attending these events, you have the opportunity to support and be a part of this phenomenal community.
We are always grateful for your generosity and support.

Blouberg Full Moon Gathering
Hosted by Flowing Nomads and Mzansi School of Yoga.
The Full Moon is an incredibly powerful time in the lunar cycle. It is a time of balance and a time to let go of all the ‘stuff’ from the month that has passed. An opportunity to reflect too, maybe.
This is a family and friends event open to all with some gentle Yoga – focusing on a calming, restorative sequence, followed by an informal imagination meditation as the sun sets over the Atlantic.
Come lay out a blanket and just enjoy the sights if you please.
Bring water and a Yoga mat or towel, warm clothes and most importantly; feel free to bring any musical instruments; guitar, djembe, didgeridoo, triangle…
Donations welcome.

Yoga at Lucky Lucy Cattery
Come experience a purrrrfect morning of Yoga with our feline friends at Lucky Lucy Cattery. First Saturday of every month will have us in Downward Dog with cats roaming happily around us.
As you enter al-CAT-traz, as the cattery is known, you know you are entering a really cared-for environment. These cats are so happy and healthy as they wait for their forever homes. We aim to raise funds so Lucky Lucy can continue to bring comfort to animals in distress.
Bring the whole family to experience this unique cattery, whilst parents are practicing Yoga, kids can safely walk among the cats. Space is limited, so please make a donation to book your space.
The Lucky Lucy Foundation is a Registered Non-Profit, Pro-life, Pro-Quality of Life organization that tries to relieve the plight of severely neglected and abused animals.
‘We are all about the social upliftment and education of impoverished children and adults in and around Cape Town, and have been since inception in 2010’.
